Kashmir situation improving, remains calm

No restrictions were imposed on the movements of common people anywhere in Jammu & Kashmir on Monday.

Though, normal life is still affected for the 87th consecutive day on Monday due to separatist sponsored strike, the three-month long agitation seemed to have fatigued.

A police official said that they have positioned security forces at some places to instill a sense of security among common people so that they can continue to perform daily activities without any fear. They have also said that the situation in the valley has improved significantly as there has been increase in private and public transport movement, many street vendors have started selling goods in the city.
