Pop star Katy Perry says she highly depends on therapy because it helps her stay normal in the spotlight.
The 31-year-old “Roar” hitmaker said sometimes it gets really difficult in the music industry so she makes sure to take care of her mental health by going to a therapist regularly, reported Female First.
“I go to therapy, I don’t get excessive on the substance.
I’ve kind of learned that dance… It’s difficult in this industry.
“You’re holding on for dear life and you feel like you’re riding a rocket and now I’m kind of not holding on for dear life. I’ve learned how to ride it, and I’m surfing and feeling good!,” she said.
Perry is back in the studio now after almost a three-year break from music and the star revealed that she has trouble writing “super sexy songs”.
“I think I have a really hard time writing super sexy songs. For me, it takes a bit of time to (to write) because I have to have those experiences and then write about them.
“Or I have to digest whatever I’m seeing or perceiving and recycle it and kind of give my perspective on it,” she added.
