Jind,Hr: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today urged the people of the state to plant at least one sapling each to keep the environment clean and help in maintaining the ecological balance.
He was speaking at a function organised to mark the celebration of State Level Wildlife Week here after inaugurating the nature park set up over an area of 15-acres, at a cost of Rs 40 lakh.
Khattar said that forest and wild life symbolise our rich culture.
He said the culture of our country has always given a message of love and has also protected the wildlife.
As a result of increasing population and expansion of industries, pollution is increasing continuously, he added.
“In these circumstances, we could only protect the human life and keep our society clean by planting maximum saplings,” Khattar said in an official release.
He said the BJP government in the state has taken a number of steps for the conservation of various species that are at the verge of extinction.
