Prime Minister Narendra Modi is launching his dream housing project known as the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojna’ (PMGAY) in Agra, today on November 20.
The PMGAY is a flagship scheme by PM Modi, which is aimed at providing houses to the rural poor, the people living below the poverty line by the end of the year 2022. Modi will also also distribute allotment letters to 50 beneficiaries, in a bid to provide about 3 crore new housing units all over the country.
While the decision might be the positive factor in the elections as it addresses the black money issue, yet such public inconvenience can go against the BJP too. Meanwhile, there has been reportedly some resistance from the minority committees in the areas as well.
Modi will be addressing a big gathering of BJP supporters in the afternoon and will eventually begin the BJP campaign for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, scheduled in 2017.
