President Mukherjee condoles loss of lives in train accident

President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday condoled the loss of lives due to derailment of Indore-Patna Express near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

“I am sad to learn about the accident in which many have lost their lives and a number of persons are injured, when Indore-Patna Express ran off the tracks near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

“I am sure that the state government is providing all possible assistance to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones as well as medical aid to the injured,” Mukherjee said in a message to Ram Naik, Governor of Uttar Pradesh.
