He also said that Besides Sonia and Priyanka, senior party leaders Sheila Dikshit, Raj Babbar and Rajiv Shukla will be present on the occasion. He said, “To spread awareness about Indira Gandhi’s contribution to the nation, the exhibition will be held at various places across the country after Allahabad. In February, the exhibition will be held at Mumbai, followed by Kolkata in April and Bengaluru in August.”
Ahead of former prime minister Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary on November 21, the District Congress Committee is on the lookout for party veterans in an attempt to gather huge audience for the celebrations.
General Secretary, UPCC, Mukund Tiwari told Times of India that most of the veterans would be from Prayag (Allahabad) but Congress committees from other neighbouring districts have also been consulted. Veterans like JP Tiwari, KN Mishra, DB Singh and Vishram Das are also expected to be at the meeting.
