Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s net scheduled visit to Mahoba, UP on October 24 to launch the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojna in the parched Bundelkhand region, will be his 11th visit to the state in a time span of 10 months, covering 13 destinations. Not only Mahoba, Modi is also scheduled to visit his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi and next day Agra to distribute DUDA-built homes to the poor.
According to the agencies, PM’s one after another visit to the state proves that BJP is targeting to wrest UP in the upcoming assembly elections in 2017.
According to party sources, he is likely to address about eight rallies across UP in November and December. Some of which will be the part of four Parivartan Yatras the party is launching from different corners of the state and a grand finale will also be held with a mega rally in Lucknow on December 24.
Besides Modi, Union home minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh has emerged so far as the only face of BJP in Uttar Pradesh.
