Hailed as the second Indira Gandhi of the gradually diminishing Congress Party, Priyanka Gandhi, the 44-year-old daughter of Sonia Gandhi has finally decided to step into politics and fully devote herself to the upliftment of her party as an emerging young leader. Senior Congress leadership had been trying their best to involve Priyanka in national politics for quite some time.
Congress sources claim that Priyanka will enter into politics full time before the upcoming UP elections in 2017 and this will be announced within the next 48 hours. As the sources confirm, Ghulam Nabi Azad has drafted a plan with a view to define Priyanka’s role. He was awaiting the return of Rahul Gandhi from a foreign visit before finalising all formalities.
