Kolkata: Most parts of West Bengal, besides Darjeeling hills, experienced little or no rainfall today as the weatherman forecast moderate to heavy rains in the sub-Himalayan districts in the next two days.
Darjeeling recorded 74 mm rainfall in 24 hours from yesterday morning, the only place in the state to have received substantial precipitation during the period, the MeT department said.

In South Bengal, the MeT department forecast partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain in the next two days.
Kolkata recorded the day’s highest temperature in the state at 34.6 degrees Celsius as it received 2.1 mm rain in 24 hours from yesterday morning.
