Donald Trump shuts more doors amid a furor in multi-national corporations

The heads of as diverse corporations as Goldman Sachs, Ford Motor Company, and Google dissented from the Trump White House on the issue, but the president’s aides were firm that he was only fulfilling his campaign pledges.

The White House is also facing a revolt in sections of the administration and bureaucracy.

President Trump had to fire acting US Attorney General Sally Yates, a holdover from the Obama administration, after she defiantly refused to defend his immigration executive order, and expressions of dissent in the State Department, led spokesman Spicer to tell career foreign service offices to go look for another job if they did not agree with the President’s policies.

Trump also fired the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Daniel Ragsdale without explanation. ICE monitors traffic into the United States.
