According to Shantanu Ray Chaudhuri, Executive Editor of HarperCollins India, “To get an inside look at our favourite pastime, Bollywood, that too from someone who has lived through it for half a century, is simply incredible. This is an invaluable addition to our growing list of books on cinema, arguably the finest such list in the country.”

Besides the mother of all Hindi film blockbusters, “Sholay”, Sippy has also made other hits such as “Andaz”, “Seeta Aur Geeta”, “Shaan”, “Shakti” and “Saagar”. He is also the creator of the mega serial “Buniyaad” for television.

He was also an intrinsic part of what is now lovingly called ‘Bollywood Retro’ of the 1970s, and has incredible stories about the films he has made and the art and craft of the process of film-making, the publishers say.
