  1. Hathiyagaon Police Station Officer had advised Inspector Sarvesh Mishra not to visit the village, yet Mishra took the CO along.
  2. It was not only Shukla who cautioned Inspector Mishra from making a visit to the village but the constable had also cautioned him that they should not go to the village as the brother of the Gram Pradhan was a “history-sheeter” i.e a person with a long record of serious crimes and they should visit only when a police force was present. However, SarveshMishra took the CO to the scene of the crime and even did not bother to ask the four Constables or the personnel on duty to accompany for safety in spite of being advised against it repeatedly.
  3. After the accused openly fired on the visiting police team, Inspector Sarvesh Mishra informed Shukla that all were safe including the CO.
  4. Taking advantage of his seniority, Inspector Mishra did not allow SO Shukla to enter the village with force for almost two hours.
  5. The bodyguard of the slain CO claimed that as soon as they had arrived at the village, the villagers attacked them.
  6. Imran, who was the gunner of the slain CO on the other hand, claims that Inspector Sarvesh Mishra was present when the mob attacked them but as soon as it took a sinister turn he disappeared in thin air.
  7. Suresh Singh and Mahboob Alam, the driver and Constable of Inspector Sarvesh Mishra, claimed on the hidden camera, that Gulshan Yadav was also present. Gulshan Yadav has been accused by the family members of the slain CO to have been involved in his murder.
  8. According to the members of the police team who were inside the village, around five–six shots were fired, whereas the team members stationed outside refute the claim by citing that only two–three shots were fired.
  9. Constable Shakti Dutt Dubey told Cobrapost that they had arrived at the scene of the crime after the Additional SP had arrived there, whereas the CBI in its report says they were accompanying Manoj Shukla.
  1. Then Station Incharge of the Nawabganj Police Station Arvind Singh claimed on our hidden camera that he had hosted the CBI team which included arranging liquor and chicken for the visiting sleuths.

Certain pertinent questions arise in regard to the CBI’s investigation into this murder:

  1. Why didn’t the CBI team question Inspector Sarvesh Mishra despite his alleged dubious role?
  2. Why was the statement of SO Manoj Shukla not recorded by the CBI, under whose jurisdiction the murder had taken place and also the statement of Sub-Inspector Vinay Kumar who was present there on the crime scene?
  3. Gunner Imran had claimed CO Haq was behind him but when he turned around; he discovered that CO Haq was no longer there. How is it that the dead body of the CO was found at the very spot from where Imran claimed the CO to have disappeared?
  4. The police team entered the village and the accused began firing on the team as Inspector Sarvesh Mishra took to his heels and disappeared from the scene. This entire episode took place within a mere time span of just five minutes. Is it plausible, if not, why didn’t it raise suspicion?
